National
Robot Innovation Center was founded in October 2017 as one of the 15 national
manufacturing innovation centers listed in the "Made in China 2025"
national strategy. The Center is led by Shenyang National Robot Research
Institute and sponsored by fourteen organizations including Harbin Institute of
Technology, Shenyang Institute of Automation under Chinese Academy of Sciences,
Shenyang Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., Harbin
Boshi Automation Co., Ltd., and HIT Robot Group.
Servicing
both common and specialized needs, the center brings together the best power
from enterprises, research institutes, universities, industrial funds, social
capital and other innovation providers, as well as related technology,
equipment, talents and capital, to create an business chain incorporating the
R&D, supply, diffusion and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies
and key generic technologies, as a result, form a collaboratively innovative
ecosystem.
The
center is mainly engaged in the R&D of generic, original, and
forward-looking cross technologies, industry-oriented system integration and
verification, third-party public services, technology transfer and
transformation, industrial incubation and support for regional industrial
development.
The
center is operated under a market-oriented mechanism. Core members have shared
interest and risk while working together to build an operating system with HR,
R&D, technology management, and accounting that can adapt to the
constantly-changing market. The common goal is to achieve self-management,
self-financing, self-development and self-control mechanisms.
The
center seeks major technology breakthroughs in robotics and improvement in
China’s global competency, and support China in its pursuit of becoming a
strong advanced manufacturing power not only in quantity but also in quality.
